Get ready for Career Expo!

"Come prepared, with a resume!" advised an employer at last year’s University of Alaska Fairbanks Career Expo. Students, alumni, and community members are invited to explore careers and apply for jobs at Career Expo ’03, scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, March 26 - 27 in the UAF Wood Center. Employer booths will be open from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Wednesday and 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Thursday and interviewing will happen both days.

More than 50 local and national employers will attend. Job seekers will have personal access to full-time job and internship opportunities. Employers are sharing information and collecting applications for full time, part time, internship, and seasonal positions.

Networking is the number one way that UAF graduates get jobs, according to the UAF Graduation Report. Career Expo is a ready-made opportunity to network with potential employers. Students who are interested in learning more about the art of networking are encouraged to attend one of the pre-Expo workshops entitled "Successful Strategies for Job Fairs", scheduled for March 4 from 1 - 2 p.m., March 11 from 5 - 6 p.m., and March 24 from 1 - 2 p.m. in Wood Center conference room C.
