2003 Torch Run at UAF Campus

The 2003 Alaska Law Enforcement Torch Run will take place simultaneously in 16 communities across the state at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2003. Law enforcement officers will lead the 5-kilometer fun run.

The Fairbanks run is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. at the University Police Department, 612 Yukon Drive, on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus. Participant check-in is at 10 a.m.

The 2003 Torch Run continues a successful corporate-crimefighter-citizen partnership to benefit Special Olympics Alaska. Some support for Alaska’s effort will come from global torch run sponsor Car Quest Auto Parts. Additional organizational support is expected from the Fraternal Order of Alaska State Troopers and the Public Safety Employees Association.
