UAF at the Fair

Check your calendars -- the fair isn’t that far away, and we need you to represent your program and the university at the fair! Nearly 127,000 people visited the Tanana Valley State Fair in 2002, making it one of the best local outreach efforts you can make!

The 2003 fair is Aug. 1-9. UAF departments and programs are welcome to spend a full or partial day at the UAF booth.

Feeling a little theatrical? Got something to show off? UAF Day is set aside by the Tanana Valley Fair Association to highlight the university during fair week each year. This year’s UAF Day will be Friday, Aug. 8. Departments and clubs are encouraged to participate! Some fun things we’ve seen before:
- Making slime with the Chemistry Department
- Experiments with the Physics Department
- Juggling display
- Swing dance demonstration
