2003 Taggart Award Named

Hsing Kuang Lin, professor of mineral engineering at UAF, Eldan Hill Summit Valley Equipment and Engineering and James Oleson, Fairbanks Gold Mining are the recipients of this year’s 2003 Taggart Award.

The Arthur F. Taggart Award committee selects the best paper or series of papers in the field of mineral processing appearing in any of the publications of SME during the past two years. Lin, Hill and Oleson are begin recognized for thier paper "Recovering Gold from Carbon Fines by a Gold Transfer Process." The award will be presented at an annual meeting in Denver, Colo. Feb. 25, 2004
