UAF to host University of the Arctic

UAF is hosting the University of the Arctic (UArctic) Governing Council on the Fairbanks campus from May 16-19, 2004.

UArctic is a collaborative ’university without walls’ promoting circumpolar educational opportunities for northern students. UAF is an active member of UArctic, with faculty and students involved in online circumpolar teaching, Ph.D. field courses in social and environmental sciences, and study abroad opportunities in dozens of circumpolar universities and colleges.

UAF staff, faculty and students are invited to a reception that will take place Tuesday, May 18, from 4:30-6 p.m. in the Great Hall, Fine Arts Complex.
