Women’s basketball banquet set

The 2004 University of Alaska Fairbanks women’s basketball banquet has been scheduled for Sunday, April 25.

The annual event will begin at 5 p.m. in the Wood Center Ballroom on the UAF campus. The festivities will include: dinner, a slide show and an awards presentation for the Most Improved Award, Most Inspirational Award, Best Defender Award and the Most Valuable Player.

The cost is $15 per person and pay at the door.

First-year coach Lynne Andrew guided the Nanooks to a 10-16 overall record in 2003-04, marking the most overall wins for the program in the last three years. Junior Adrienne Taalak led the Great Northwest Athletic Conference in scoring and earned first-team All-GNAC honors.
