The University of Alaska Museum of the North’s sixth annual TOTE Family Fun Fest is coming up on Sunday, June 6, and we’re looking for volunteers to help make this fun-filled day a success.

The event will run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with hands-on activities and entertainment under the big top tent in front of the UAF Patty Center and a scavenger hunt in the museum’s galleries.

We’re looking for a project leader and six to eight volunteers to help with each activity. This year, kids will be able to:

  • Be a Migrating Salmon
  • Build a Bug Barn
  • Create a Sun Print
  • Decorate an Alaska Native Doll
  • Dissect Owl Pellets
  • Learn Eskimo Dances
  • Make an Amulet Bag
  • Construct a Mini Dog Sled

Come on your own or organize a group of friends or co-workers to take charge of one of the activities either way we’d love to have you! CONTACT: Call 474-5484 or email fun.fest@uaf.edu for more information or to sign up and call soon so you can get your first pick of activities!
