The statewide competition to determine a winning design includes the following eligibility requirements:
1. Entrants must reside in Alaska
2. Each artist may submit up to 3 slides
3. Entries must be personally submitted by the creative artist
4. Work which has been previously shown is acceptable
5. All artwork must have been completed in the last 5 years

Deadline for submissions is January 7, 2005.

The slides will be judged by a selection committee who will then select finalists. Top finalists will be contacted and asked to submit original artwork for the final selection process. The chosen work will be professionally photographed and approximately 6,000 posters will be printed to publicize the artist’s work. The posters will be introduced in the statewide Spring 2005 Public Broadcasting campaign on Alaska One Public Television. Further promotion includes airing the artist’s bio on Alaska One Public Television and inviting the artist to participate in a poster signing event held for Alaska One major donors.

Please submit slide entries, art title, dimensions, contact information, and a written description (up to 200 words) about what inspires you to create art to: Ann Dowdy, Marketing & Community Relations Manager, Alaska One Call for Art 2005, University of Alaska Fairbanks, PO Box 755620, Fairbanks, AK 99775-5620.
