UAF’s 2005 Nanook SpringFest weekend is almost here! Scheduled to occur from Thursday, April 28 through Saturday, April 30, 2005, the Nanook SpringFest weekend hosts a myriad of recreational, athletic, service, and academic programs.

SpringFest will begin on Thursday, April 28 at noon with a Kick-Off barbecue in the Wood Center Plaza. The Kick-Off event will showcase a dance off, KSUA DJ’s, free ice cream, and spectacular food prepared by UAF Dining Services.

Later that afternoon, the UAF Leadership Program will host the Nanook Honors Celebration which recognizes students that have performed above and beyond in co-curricular settings. On Friday, the long held tradition of mud volleyball will continue. Beginning at noon in the Nenana Parking Lot, 15 teams will sacrifice cleanliness at their chance to become Mud Volleyball Champions.

Saturday morning in the Wood Center Carol Brown Ballroom outstanding students from each academic department will be honored for their committment to excellence.
