UAF sociologist gets grant to study Commodification of Aurora

Sine Anahita, Department of Sociology in College of Liberal Arts, received one of only 5 grants awarded by the Midwest Sociological Society’s Scholarship Development committee. The grant will be used in support of her research on Scientific Imperialism and the Commodification of the Aurora Borealis, which will be presented at the MSS Annual meeting, March 30-April 2, 2006, in Omaha, Nebraska.
