The design firm for the Hutchison Institute of Technology was recognized for Outstanding Architecture and Design in Education, as providing the best possible learning environment for all students at all levels of education. USKH, Inc.’s design received an honorable mention and appeared in the June issue of School Planning and Management’s Design Showcase.

Hutchison opened in fall 2004 as a partnership between the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District and UAF’s Tanana Valley Campus. The facility houses a complete vocational-oriented high school and TVC programs in automotive technology, aviation maintenance, culinary arts, drafting, process technology, diesel/heavy equipment, professional piloting and welding.
