The Fairbanks North Star Borough will resume a paper recycling program August 1, 2005. Facilities Services will participate in this program and is encouraging all university employees and students to participate. The following guidelines must be followed to ensure that all waste paper is recycled:
All paper must be separated from your regular trash and placed in a blue recycling waste basket. If you need blue recycling waste baskets please contact Herb Morgan at 474-6772.
Bulk paper must be placed in the green dumpsters for recycling.
The following papers are consider waste paper and can be recycled:
Newspaper
Colored paper
White paper
Cardboard
Magazines
Catalogs
Notebook paper
Junk mail
Clean food boxes
The following items cannot be recycled:
Wet food wrappers and containers
Sponge rubber packing material
Styrofoam packing material
Metal
Wet paper plates
Garden hose or any rubber type items
Plastic toys
Diapers
Trash
Glass
