Bernice Joseph to deliver keynote at AFN

Bernice Joseph, executive dean of UAF’s College of Rural and Community Development has been selected as the keynote speaker for the 40th gathering of the state’s largest Native confederation. The 2005 Alaska Federation of Native’s is set for October 17-22, 2005 in Fairbanks.

AFN President Julie Kitka said the convention committee, made up of select members fo the AFN board of directors, selected Joseph to focus more attention to the central role of culturally relevant and meaningful education during the conference.
