UA Foundation 2006-07 Scholarships

The University of Alaska Foundation announces the availability of privately funded scholarships offered by the University of Alaska Foundation for students attending any campus of the University of Alaska during the 2006-07 academic year. The UA Foundation has approximately 55 scholarships offering awards ranging from $500 to $8,000. Requirements vary depending on class standing, GPA, major and hometown/high school location.

Interested students must complete the UA Foundation Statewide application to be considered for such scholarships. The application is available at any campus Financial Aid Office or online at http://www.alaska.edu/uafound/ . Application forms may be copied as necessary, keeping in mind that students may apply for a maximum of four (4) different scholarships, each of which requires a separate application (see specific directions on the application). Students must send the completed application(s), a personal essay, two (2) references, andthe most recent academic transcripts for high school or college work to the University of Alaska Foundation at the address below:

The application deadline is February 15, 2006.

Questions regarding enrollment and academic majors on the application refer to the applicant’s status afte renrolling at the University of Alaska next fall.
