E-mail service to be restored soon

Technicians at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Division of Computing and Communications are making repairs to the e-mail server. The system should be operational by early afternoon Friday, technicians said.

A server malfunction on Wednesday slowed e-mail across campus to the point where it was unusable for most people. The malfunction happened during a routine backup of the server.
