Phi Kappa Phi announces award, scholarship availability

The Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society is now accepting applications for multiple scholarships and grants in 2006. Those available include:

Study abroad grants
äó¢ 30 grants of $1,000 each available
äó¢ Open to members and nonmembers in any field of study
äó¢ Application deadline: Feb. 15

Graduate fellowships
äó¢ 60 fellowships of $5,000 and 40 awards of $2,000 available for first-year graduate or professional study
äó¢ Open to active members of Phi Kappa Phi
äó¢ Application deadline: Feb. 1

Literacy grants
äó¢ Grants of up to $2,500
äó¢ Open to local chapters or individual members for projects related to literacy
äó¢ Application deadline: Feb. 1

Promotion of Excellence grants
äó¢ Up to $10,000 awarded per grant
äó¢ Open to members and chapters to design and implement programs and activities to advance excellence in higher education
äó¢ Application deadline: Jan. 27.
