Shuttle bus route modified

The Blue Shuttle Bus Route will be slightly modified effective March 20, 2006. The bus will no longer be traveling down Denali Lane and stopping behind Lathrop and Stevens Halls. Instead service to the lower residence halls will be provided with a new shuttle stop at the base of the stairs in West of Lola Tily Commons.

This change eliminates a series of tight, limited-sight-distance turns on the Blue Route and conflicts with pedestrian traffic reported by shuttle bus drivers. This decision was made after consultation with hall residents, advisors and transportation staff who felt the change would maintain service to lower dorm residents and eliminate a safety concern.

Service to the SRC/Patty Center is unchanged.
