Juan Roederer, a professor emeritus in the Geophysical Institute’s Space Physics and Aeronomy Group, will discuss how music and language are linked in his talk, "Music and the Evolution of Human Brain Function." The lecture will focus on on the principal acoustical information-processing operations in the human brain and is the opening lecture at the Conference on Mozart and Science held in Vienna, Austria, Oct. 1-4, 2006 by the International Music & Art Research Association Austria.
