Noche de Gala to raise money for scholarships

The public and university community is invited to attend a celebration of Hispanic Heritage month and scholarship fundraiser, Noche de Gala, Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006 at 6 p.m. in the Wood Center Carol Brown Ballroom. The event will include hors d’oeuvres, cultural dance performances and scholarship presentations and will feature speaker Ivette Fernandez.

Tickets are $5 for UAF students and $20 for general admission and are available at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Latinos Unidos del Norte scholarship fund.

The event is sponsored by Latinos Unidos del Norte, University of Alaska Fairbanks Club Latino and the UAF Office of Multicultural Affairs and Diversity.
