Volunteers needed for disaster drill in Fairbanks

The Fairbanks North Star Borough is seeking 150 volunteers for a daylong disaster drill May 9 from 10:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.

The event will begin and end at the Big Dipper Ice Arena. In addition to free food and goodies, volunteers will have the opportunity to play victims in disaster drill for local emergency response professionals. Make-up for mock injuries will be provided.

Some victims will be treated on-site and others will be transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.
