Nominate a student for sustainability efforts

One of my priorities over the past year has been to increase UAFäó»s commitment to sustainability efforts. The UAF student body has made it a priority by voting in a $20 per student semester fee to support the efforts of sustainability on this campus.

UAF Chancellor Brian Rogers would like to demonstrate his support of the student bodyäó»s efforts and continue to encourage sustainability efforts of students on campus, by offering three (3) tuition waivers for the 2009-2010 academic year.

These are 12-credit tuition waivers for undergraduate students and 6-credit tuition waivers for graduate students, with half the tuition waiver applying to the Fall 2009 semester and the other half applying to the Spring 2010 semester.

Nominations are due Monday, May 18, 2009. Nominations can be made by faculty, staff or students. Individuals nominated for these tuition waivers should have made significant and substantive accomplishments in the efforts to develop sustainability at UAF and/or the UAF community.
