Allison went on to earn her Ph.D. in zoology, molecular and cellular biology from the University of Washington in 1989.

The Alumni Fellowship Award was established in 1968. The award recognizes younger faculty members whose classroom work has already achieved notoriety among students, colleagues and staff. The award, which includes a $1,000 honorarium for each recipient, represents a fundamental commitment by the Society to maintain the College’s dedication to exceptional teaching.
