Regents of the University of Alaska are asking the governor and the legislature for an increase of $13.6 million in state general fund and an increase of $22.1 million in authority to receive revenue from other sources for the university’s FY04 operating budget.
Meeting in Anchorage on Nov. 12, the regents also voted to increase tuition rates by 10 percent for next year, but gave the system’s community campus directors discretion in implementing part of the increase.
