You don’t need a hard hat, but safety is a priority during construction at the University of Alaska Fairbanks this summer.
Motorists and pedestrians should watch for truck traffic and speeds will be reduced to 20 miles-per-hour in some areas.
Visitor parking is available near the University of Alaska Museum and in the Nenana lot across from the Patty Center. Just park and catch the shuttle bus to locations all over campus.
In addition to $60 million in construction projects on UAF’s West Ridge, the eastbound lane of Alumni Drive to University Avenue is expected to be closed mid-May through September due to power plant upgrades.
