Tanana Loop Road Closure

A stretch of Tanana Loop from Fairbanks Street to West Tanana on the UAF campus will be closed this weekend as construction crews work on underground pipes.

Exclusive Landscaping will be working on the University-Geist Road access project, Saturday, May 17th from 7 a.m. through Sunday, May 18th at 5:30 p.m.

The new road and intersection will serve as a main entrance to campus and will include a informational kiosk. The Department of Transportation project will be named Thompson Drive in honor of the late Native leader Morris Thompson.

West Ridge will be accessible from West Tanana and the Patty Center and Student Rec Center will be open as regularly scheduled.
