The University of Alaska Fairbanks Tanana Valley Campus will officially open the doors on its new facility to the public on Monday, August 18, at 8 a.m.

Located in the old state courthouse facility at 604 Barnette Street, the Tanana Valley Campus Center will be home to several programs and services, including the TVC Student Assistance Center, Center for Professional Development and Corporate Training, Workforce Development Center, Early Childhood Education, Human Services, Developmental Studies, Academic Programs and Paralegal Studies. Computer labs, a branch of the UAF Bookstore and a coffee/sandwich concession stand will be open when the fall semester begins on Sept. 4.

Beginning Aug. 18, students will be able to take advantage of TVC’s "one-stop" Student Assistance Center, where they can receive academic advising and register and pay for classes for the fall semester. The first 50 people who come through the door on Aug. 18 will receive a complimentary TVC t-shirt. Additionally, all people who come in opening week will be eligible to sign up to win a three-credit tuition waiver for the fall semester.
