Taku Drive/Tanana Loop Intersection Modification

To improve safety for vehicle and pedestrian traffic on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus, Taku Drive from Tanana Loop to the Ballaine parking lot will be permanently closed to uphill traffic beginning November 3rd.

The uphill intersection is dangerous for pedestrians crossing the roadway.

The shuttle bus route to Wood Center will be modified and the turnaround time will increase by approximately three minutes.

The Taku and Ballaine parking lots accessible from Farmer’s Loop are otherwise unaffected.
