University of Alaska Fairbanks scientists Bodil Bluhm, Rolf Gradinger, Russ Hopcroft, Gerald Plumley, and Terry Whitledge, as well as graduate students Casey Debenham and Sang Lee are featured in a National Geographic magazine feature article in the January 2004 issue.

The SFOS researchers were part of a 2002 NOAA Ocean Exploration expedition of the Arctic Ocean’s Canadian Basin.
