UAF committed to educating low-income students

The Mortenson Research Seminar on Public Policy Analysis of Opportunity for Postsecondary Education featured UAF as one of four flagship universities committed to educating low-income students. Their analyses measured the number of undergarduates in state flagship universities who are recipients of federal pell grants. UAF disbursed $2.6 million in pell grants in 2001-2002, $2.9 million in 2002-2003, and has disbursed a little over $3 million to date for 2003-2004.
