Roundabout at UAF opens

There’s a new roundabout intersection on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus. The intersection currently connects only Tanana Loop and West Tanana (Farm Road).

Eventually it will include access to and from Thompson Drive which will remain under construction and closed through next summer.

Roundabout intersections in the U.S. always flow counterclockwise. This one is single lane. Drivers are asked to slow down and yield to traffic already in the circle, turn right and use signals when exiting.

Due to continued work on Thompson Drive, occasional roundabout closures can be expected for the duration of the project.
