2004 Summer Sessions catalog coverUAF Summer Sessions staff has just returned from the annual conference of the Western Association of Summer Session Administrators with two of the association’s top three awards.

Summer Sessions received the coveted Charley Award for the best overall catalog and the Gary Award for the best marketing program theme.

"I’m proud of the awards," said Michelle Bartlett, Summer Sessions director. "They’re a result of the hard work of our incredible staff whose dedication and enthusiasm are reflected in our marketing materials."

Eric Muehling is the catalog editor. Florie Wilcoxson, associate director; and Amy Bristor, coordinator, are all involved in development.

UAF Professor Alvin Amason, director of the UAF Native arts program, allowed his paintings to be used throughout the 2004 summer session catalog, including the moose on the catalog cover.

UAF will host the 2005 WASSA conference next September with more than 80 summer sessions administrators from Colorado to Hawaii expected to attend.

Fellow members of WASS include UCLA, UC Berkeley, Washington State University, Arizona State University and University of Nevada at Las Vegas.
