Freshman goaltender Wylie Rogers made his first start as a Nanook a successful one, shutting out the University of Alaska Anchorage, 6-0, at Sullivan Arena Saturday evening.

The victory allowed UAF to even the Alaska Airlines Governor’s Cup at one game each, with the series to conclude when the two teams meet again March 4th and 5th at the Carlson Center in Fairbanks.

The cross country teams each finished 10th at the Great Northwest Athletic Conference championships in McKinleyville, CA. Erik Wickstrom finished 22nd to lead the men, while Kaitlin Rohde finished 23rd to pace the women.

The volleyball team dropped both of their matches on the road. Friday night, they lost at Saint Martin’s, 30-24, 30-21 and 30-28. Saturday, UAF was defeated by Central Washington, 30-20, 30-23 and 30-24.
