New play festival gives authors 15 minutes of fame

Aimed at focusing on the playwright rather than production, the Famous for 15 Minutes New Play Festival will pair up each playwright with a dramaturge. The dramaturge will help to refine the script along with the playwright and director. All submissions will be featured on stage in staged readings, and an award will be presented to the best student entry.

PLAY GUIDELINES:
-All submissions must be typed with page numbers and securely bound
-The play must be no longer than 15 minutes in length (about 15 pages)
-Plays in any language are acceptable
-The script must have the playwright’s name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address on the title page
-Entries will not be returned

SUBMIT your script to Maya Salganek in the Theatre Department Office, 302 Great Hall, or to Timaree McCormick, Theatre room 109.
