Beth Bruder, a 15-year staff member with the University of Alaska Fairbanks Bristol Bay Campus in Dillingham, is this year’s recipient of the Chancellor’s Recognition Award. Bruder has served as the admissions and records coordinator since she was hired in 1990 by then Bristol Bay Campus Director Peggy Wood.
"It was one of the best hires I ever made,"? said Wood. "Beth was never satisfied with the routine duties of the job, she set out to learn as much as possible about her job and about the university. Her special interest in students and the programs that serve them, such as the Early Childhood degree program has had a profound impact on the lives of our students."?
This award is intended to recognize a member of the University of Alaska Fairbanks staff for their continues service and outstanding contributions toward accomplishment of the institutional mission for work-related service or a public relations effort that is noteworthy. The award is given in conjunction with the UAF Staff Council.
