The University of Alaska Press is pleased to announce publication of a new book on the Sami people of northern Scandinavia. With few resources in English available on the Sami, this book represents a major contribution to the history and ethnography of northern aboriginal peoples. "The Sami People" follows the Sami from their prehistoric past through their 21st century involvement in political and environmental activism.
