Chukwu to co-chair international conference

Fairbanks, Alaska--Professor Godwin Chukwu of the Department of Petroleum Engineering at the University of Alaska Fairbanks has been invited to serve as one of two chairmen of the eighth-annual SMi Gas-to-Liquids Conference in London later this month.

The invitation-only conference will bring together about 100 of the world’s top scientists, engineers and business leaders to discuss advances in gas-to-liquid technology. During the two-day event, which begins Oct. 24, participants will explore how to best apply that technology to commercial applications. Highlights of the conference include meetings and seminars on running a successful gas-to-liquid plant, emerging markets and offshore ventures.

This is the first time a UAF researcher has been invited to co-chair the conference. It will be Chukwu’s third time attending.
