Todd Sherman’s ’Portraits’ in UAF Art Gallery

Todd Sherman, professor of art at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, will display a collection of his work titled "Portraits" at the UAF Art Gallery April 3-15. The opening reception will be held April 3, from 5-7 p.m. The gallery is located in the Fine Arts building at UAF and the exhibition is free and open to the public.

Sherman is a painter and printmaker who received his undergraduate degree in art from UAF and a master’s degree in printmaking from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. Sherman has been painting portraits for more than 12 years, however this will be the first time his portraits have been displayed in a gallery setting. The portraits on display will be recent and life sized.
