Jump-in to virtual reality this summer at the ARSC Discovery Lab. Take a virtual tour of the home of some of the fastest supercomputers in the world, and check out the latest 3-D applications in development at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Every Wednesday at 1 p.m., from June 7-Aug. 30, visitors will be guided on a thrilling ride through the three-dimensional fusion of computational science, virtual reality and earth visualization.

The hour-long tours are free and will feature several newly-developed virtual applications of art, history and science. Tour-goers may even have an opportunity to manipulate a virtual sculpting tool.

The Discovery Lab is located on the third floor of the Rasmuson Library in room 375C. The tour meets at the back loading dock of the library. Park in the Taku visitor lot, walk up the path and veer right on Tanana Loop. Cross at the first crosswalk, take an immediate right to the first loading dock on the left. Reservations are required for groups of ten or more.
