Fairbanks Experiment Farm celebrates milestone

The rows of barley forming the shape of a giant "100" in a field below the newly remodeled Museum of the North on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus isn’t the handiwork of local pranksters or a message from intergalactic tourists. The dark green numbers, standing in sharp contrast to the brown field, are a birthday card, of sorts, planted by Alan Tonne, the manager of the Fairbanks Experiment Farm. Read more ...
