The latest innovations and realizations surrounding energy will be discussed at a global energy teach-in Saturday, Feb. 24 at 1 p.m. at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The context of global energy, the food-energy connection and sustainable foods will be discussed.
There will be a sustainable food contest with prizes awarded for the best in taste, presentation and Alaska compatibility.
The event will take place at the Salisbury Theatre on the UAF campus and is sponsored by the Alaska Cooperative Extension Service, Chena Hot Springs Resort, the U.S. Green Building Council and the People’s Endowment grant.
