Students interested in going to medical school can participate in the Alaska PreMed Summit this Saturday, March 31 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

The event is designed for high school and undergraduate students, counselors, advisers and parents. It will take place at the University of Alaska Anchorage, but is being offered at UAF via videoconference. Students will participate in mock interviews and learn how to be a more competitive medical school applicant.

Fairbanks participants should meet in room 109 of the Butrovich Building at UAF. Larry Duffy, with UAF’s Special Neuroscience Research Program, will lead the Fairbanks session.

The summit is sponsored by WWAMI, a collaborative medical school established by the University of Washington and the states of Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho.
