Third-graders donate money for small comforts

Jim Styers, with the University Fire Department, visits with University Park Elementary School third graders April 26 about how their University of Alaska Foundation donation will be used. Beth Roth’s third grade class donated $100 this spring to the University Fire Department to purchase 50 small stuffed bears. The fire department will give the the bears to children who are scared or injured on the scene of auto accidents or those who are transported by ambulance to the hospital.
