For the third consecutive year, student athletes from the University of Alaska Fairbanks will volunteer with Habitat for Humanity for two full days. This year Habitat for Humanity is building two three-bedroom houses for a pair of single mothers with two children. The houses are located at 25th and Mercier St. in Fairbanks.

Under the direction of Maurice Lake, construction manager, Alaska Nanooks administrators, staff members, coaches and student athletes will help with projects such as insulating, landscaping, installing siding and electrical wiring.

The first building day is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 8, from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and the second day will be the following Saturday, Sept. 15, from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
