English department to host ’Dead Writers’ event

The University of Alaska Fairbanks English department will host the 17th annual Dead Writers Reading and Raffle on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. at the UAF pub.

Members of the public are invited to come dressed as their favorite dead writer, give a three-minute reading and compete for prizes. Audience members are also welcome.

Raffle tickets will be on sale at the door for $15. The raffle includes an assortment of prizes from local businesses. The event is a fundraiser for the Midnight Sun Visiting Writer Series.
