Book Festival to feature Alaska authors, artists, poets

University of Alaska Fairbanks Summer Sessions will host the second annual Alaska Book Festival June 12-14 at a variety of locations throughout Fairbanks. The three-day festival will feature readings, workshops and discussions with more than 20 Alaska authors, poets and artists. All events are free and open to the public.

The festival will begin with a lecture from Alaska artist, writer and musician Ray Troll, "Fish Worship is Not Wrong, or How I Became a Scientific Surrealist Alaskan." His lecture will begin at 7 p.m. June 12 at Schaible Auditorium at UAF. Following is an abbreviated schedule of events.
