The University Women’s Association recently donated $1,000 to the UAF Tanana Valley Campus Bunnell House Early Childhood Lab School. The donation is three times more than that of previous donations made by UWA to the Bunnell House.
According to UWA president Kayt Sunwood, the association increased its yearly contribution to show appreciation for the Bunnell House and the positive effect it has on the Fairbanks community. The money is intended to be used toward the purchase of an outdoor storage unit.
"Bunnell House is very appreciative of the support the University Women’s Association has given us over the years," said Paige Vonder Haar, Bunnell House director, "We are delighted to receive such a generous donation from this supportive group of incredible women."
The Bunnell House provides observation and practicum experiences in a model lab school environment for university students studying early childhood education and related disciplines. In conjunction with its academic mission, Bunnell House also provides high-quality licensed care to children of university students and faculty and staff members.
