English department hosts ’Dead Writers’ event

The UAF English Department will host the 18th annual Dead Writers Reading and Raffle Saturday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Blue Loon.

Members of the public are invited to come dressed as their favorite dead writer, give a three-minute reading and compete for prizes. Audience members are also welcome.

Admission is $12 for students with a PolarExpress card and $15 for the public. You must be 21 or older to attend.

The event is a fundraiser for the Midnight Sun Visiting Writer Series.
