Climate projections available in Google Earth

Scientists and faculty will discuss how to use a newly-developed set of climate change maps during a statewide teleconference Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008.

The University of Alaska Geography program and the Scenarios Network for Alaska Planning has developed maps of climate change projections in a downloadable format in Google Earth. The maps show projected changes in temperature, precipitation, growing season length and freeze-up and thaw dates.
