Eleven UAF students will be attending the presidential inauguration in Washington D.C. next week as part of a weeklong seminar through The Washington Center.
The academic seminar will provide a backstage view of the presidential inauguration process and focus on the newly elected president and the formation of a new executive administration. More information on the program is available online at www.campaign2008.info/node/28.
The University of Alaska Foundation, with support from BP and ConocoPhillips, sponsored the students’ participation in the seminar. Students will earn two UAF credits for the seminar and will keep individual video logs of their experiences. Students will give presentations on their experiences and share their videos during a presentation Tuesday, Feb. 10 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Wood Center Ballroom.
Several of the students will be available to the media during the seminar and will be able to do interviews about their experiences.
