Teleconference focuses on climate, tourism

University of Alaska Fairbanks climate scientist John Walsh will speak about climate change and tourism in Alaska during a statewide teleconference Tuesday, February 10th at 10 a.m.

Walsh will speak about recent research that investigated the links between climate warming and tourism demand. He will also touch on applications of a climate index created to capture weather information relevant to tourist activity at a particular location.

The event is sponsored by the Alaska Center for Climate Assessment and Policy.
